Oral surgery procedures

The procedure depends on the clinical situation and indicated investigations. Erupted, partially impacted and impacted wisdom teeth may require different approaches.

  • Simple or difficult extractions, retained roots and wisdom tooth removal.
  • Surgical tooth removal, alveolotomy, alveoloplasty and apicoectomy.
  • Frenectomy, operculectomy and alveolitis treatment when indicated.

Before and after a procedure

Tell the dentist about medical conditions, allergies and current treatments. Preparation and aftercare are tailored to your case. The fee depends on the procedure needed, and additional stages are discussed before treatment.

Keeping or replacing a tooth

Options for retaining a tooth may be assessed before extraction. If the tooth cannot be retained, replacement options are discussed separately.

Medical note

A diagnosis requires a clinical assessment

The dentist determines diagnosis, suitability and an individual recommendation after a consultation and, when needed, diagnostic tests.
